Trapped Within My Own Walls: A Home Confinement Tale

Living on Lockdown

Life as we knew it has drastically altered. The world outside our doors is a shadow of its former glory. We are now confined within the walls of our homes, forced to adapt to a new lifestyle. The days melt, marked by the cycle of online meetings, streaming media, and baking. We crave for the simple pleasures that were once granted for granted: a hike in the park, a coffee with friends, or even just a talk without a screen between us.

This new world has forced challenges, but it has also revealed unexpected qualities within ourselves and our communities. We have learned to be more compassionate, more inventive, and more grateful for the little things in life. As we navigate this uncharted territory, we must stay hopeful that brighter days are ahead.

Six Feet From Freedom

Life behind bars is a brutal reality. Every day, you face boundaries that feel like an unbreakable wall. The world outside seems so close, yet it's separated by just that symbolic distance of six feet.

Sometimes, the weight of those bars feels suffocating. You crave freedom with every fiber of your being. Every sunrise serves as a reminder that you're confined.

But even in the darkest moments, there's a spark of hope. A hope that one day, you'll step over those bars and finally be released. That day might seem distant, but it's a dream worth holding onto.

Confined Liberation

The allure with freedom can be an enticing force. Yet, paradoxically, it can too lead to imprisonment. This happens when the very notion of freedom becomes manipulated, transforming into a tool for control and suppression.

Genuine freedom entails not only the absence for external constraints but also the cultivation of internal resilience. When this inner core is lacking, even within a society that celebrates freedom, individuals can find themselves trapped within the boundaries of their own thoughts.

Finally, the true measure with freedom lies in our ability to liberate ourselves the obstacles that impede our potential, both externally and internally.
